Each year, the community of Edwardsville, PA gathers to honor the courageous men and women who serve our country. The 2025 edition of the Warrior Tree & Parade was no exception — a heartfelt ceremony of remembrance, gratitude, and community spirit.

Under the glow of frosted lights in Veterans Park (Edwardsville), service members’ photographs adorned the evergreen branches, each ornament a symbol of sacrifice, service, and solidarity. Families placed images of loved ones—active duty, veterans, those who never returned—highlighting that every hero deserves to be seen.
The annual parade kicked off the evening, weaving through town streets with a proud lineup of veterans, riders, local bands, and fire-rescue units. As the procession arrived at the park, attendees gathered around for the tree lighting, music, food, and fellowship. The boot display stood solemnly nearby, reminding everyone of the ongoing need to support veterans’ mental health and wellness.
Among the highlights: community members shared stories of service, volunteer groups accepted donations for the “Winter for Warriors” drive, and children handed homemade ornaments to be hung on the tree — weaving the next generation into this tradition of honor. Local sponsors offered warm beverages and snacks, while veteran-resource booths provided information and connection.

This event is more than a holiday tradition. It’s a living tribute — an opportunity to say “thank you” in full view of the community, to give returning veterans a place of recognition, and to spark year-round support for those who gave so much.
If you missed it this year, mark your calendar for next December. Bring a photo, hang an ornament, join the parade, donate a coat or blanket, and stand beside the tree that honors service and sacrifice. Because when a community comes together—under the lights of the Warrior Tree—no hero stands alone.
